Born Detroit, Michigan Rank Second Soloist Joined Carolina Ballet 2002 Caitlin Mundth was born in New Jersey but she grew up outside Detroit. She graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy; she attended the Joffrey/New School BFA program in New York and trained with David Howard while studying contemporary dance at the Alvin Ailey and Paul Taylor schools. Ms. Mundth performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Michigan Opera Theatre, North Carolina Opera and Charleston Ballet Theatre. She joined Carolina Ballet in 2002 as a member of the corps de ballet.
