Principal Guest Choreographer

Lynne Taylor-Corbett is known for her work in theatre, ballet and film.
She was nominated for Tony Awards for her direction and choreography of Broadway’s Swing! and for two American Theatre Wing Star Awards for its National Tour. She choreographed Chess and Titanic on Broadway and the feature films Footloose, My Blue Heaven and Vanilla Sky. Her ballets have been commissioned by New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet and numerous companies througout the world. Last December the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre premiered her Prayers from the Edge at City Center in New York. She also choreographed Disney’s Aladdin at the Hyperion Theatre in California this January. Ms Taylor-Corbett has directed Off Broadway shows and productions in regional theatre. Most recently, she directed a straight play, Natural Selection at the Walnut Street Studio Theatre in Philadelphia. This fall she will direct Opal at The Lyric Theatre in Dallas. She thanks the National Endowment for the Arts for the early career grants that gave her the opportunity to learn her craft, and hopes that other young American artists will have the same opportunity for many years to come.
