Resident Guest Teacher Character Artist Tyler Walters was a leading dancer with the Joffrey Ballet for more than a decade and was featured in performances across the United States and around the world. He has been a principal guest artist with many companies including the Pennsylvania Ballet and National Ballet of Iceland and was a principal dancer with Atlanta Ballet during the 1993-1994 season. As a choreographer, Mr. Walters has created works for Oregon Ballet Theatre, Ballet Theatre of Chicago, the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company, the Joffrey Concert Dancers, and The Juilliard School. His choreography has also appeared in the New Choreographers en Pointe “Ballet Builders” showcase at Lincoln Center in New York City. Currently on faculty at Duke University, Mr. Walters has also been a guest teacher at various programs including the Joffrey Ballet School, The Juilliard School, the Princeton Ballet School, and the Regional Dance America Midstates Festival. |
