Lindsay began at Carolina Ballet as trainee in 2011 after training at the School of American Ballet (SAB) in New York City for 10 years. She attended various summer intensive programs including San Francisco Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. As a child, Lindsay performed with New York City Ballet in various Balanchine productions including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Coppelia, and The Nutcracker, Peter Martins' Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, and Christopher Wheeldon's Scènes de Ballet. Lindsay also performed in Mozartiana with Nina Ananiashvili and the State Ballet of Georgia at Jacob's Pillow. In 2010 Lindsay was selected to dance in the New York Choreographic Institute where she had a featured role in an original ballet by Justin Peck, of NYCB. In December 2010, Lindsay was a featured guest artist as the Snow Queen in the Wilmington Ballet's Nutcracker at the Dupont Theatre in Delaware. In the 2011 annual SAB Workshop Performance and Gala, Lindsay performed the lead in My One and Only variation and the Embraceable You pas de deux in Balanchine's Who Cares?
