Petit Ballet Romantique
Robert Weiss choreographed this ballet to create a balance in a program which he felt needed the addition of a light romantic work. He turned to his dancers for inspiration and came up with a divertissement in the Balanchine/Petipa tradition that features the corps, the soloists and principals of Carolina Ballet in a light evanescent entertainment to the wonderful music of Leo Delibes, one of the great ballet composers. This ballet features music from Sylvia and La Source.
