Mardi Gras Ball

Thanks for supporting Carolina Ballet. The Mardi Gras Ball was a huge success, and we look forward to you joining us on March 1, 2014 for Raleigh's premiere event of the year.

On February 16th, over 400 guests braved sleet, snow and bitter cold to attend the 2013 Mardi Gras Ball. The evening began with a warm reception for Ball honorees’ Ann and Charlie Sanders and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. Both this year’s live and silent auctions featured a variety of new experiences and as the dancers entered the ballroom, Fund a Dream donations climbed over $10,000 in less than a minute! Following the Cajun-inspired dinner, guests enjoyed coffee, pralines, and wine, graciously donated by Nomacorc, as they danced the night away. Under the generous, astute, and consummate leadership of this year’s Ball Co-Chairs: Cooper and Sam Bratton, Melanie Black Dubis and Jeff Dubis, Donna and Michael Jacobs, Stefanie and Doug Kahn, Mindy and Guy Solie, and Liza and Joel Williams, and with the support of attendees and honorary gifts, the 2013 Mardi Gras Ball raised an amazing $306,000!
