Why does Carolina Ballet need your support?
Many people do not realize ticket sales account for only half of the income we need to meet our expenses. The rest must be contributed privately by individuals, foundations and corporations committed to supporting world-class ballet in North Carolina through our Annual Fund. This year the development team hopes to raise over $2.5 million dollars in donations toward the Ballet’s overall budget of $4.4 million.
Where does our support come from?
The majority of our donations come from individuals like you. About 62% of our support comes from individual donors of Carolina Ballet. Corporate support makes up about 20% of our donations, and foundations account for 13%. Carolina Ballet is also grateful to receive 5% of our funding from government agencies.
Annual Fund Overview
Carolina Ballet’s Annual Fund helps to cover the company’s day-to-day expenses, from pointe shoes to paperclips, and makes up 62% of our donated income. By making a contribution to the Annual Fund you can help ensure that Carolina Ballet will continue to bring world-class ballet to North Carolina as well as enjoy many exciting benefits.
