The Nutcracker
December 10-24, 2022
The Ballet will re-invision The Nutcracker for today’s audiences while staying true to its historic roots.
“We will honor past productions by George Balanchine and Robert Weiss and move this holiday classic forward into our times.” – Zalman Raffael

Join us on 12/17 at either show for a special magical event!
Rick Thomas will be performing before both shows on the 17th at an exclusive magic show! Rick is the magician who has designed illusions specifically for our Nutcracker performances. Carolina Ballet’s Nutcracker is one of the only Nutcracker productions with magic performed live onstage and we are excited to watch him in action at his own performance! Don’t miss out on this magical preshow event presented by WRAL.
The Matinee Magic Show starts at 1pm followed by The Nutcracker at 2pm
The Evening Magic Show starts at 6 followed by The Nutcracker at 7pm
Tickets for the Magic Show are FREE and need to be reserved through the Carolina Ballet Box Office. The Magic begins promptly one hour before The Nutcracker followed by a 30 minute intermission. *You MUST have a ticket to The Nutcracker on 12/17 to attend.*
