From: Nashville, TN
Ike began his dance training at the age of eight under Donna Carver and Adam Sage at Nashville Ballet in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. He also trained under Thomas Shoemaker at Vanderbilt University, Marat Daukayev in Los Angeles, and since 2010 under Elaine Thomas and Christopher Mohnani at Dance Theatre of Tennessee. In 2012 he became a trainee at DTT and danced the roles of Russian, Soldier Doll, Spanish and Snow King in Nutcracker, Waltz Boy in Cinderella, and numerous other roles in outreach programs and company productions.
He attended summer intensives at Interlochen Centre for the Arts, Nashville Ballet, the TN Governor’s School for the Arts and twice at the Harid Conservatory where he was offered a full year round scholarship.
Ike has appeared in numerous principal and supporting roles as an actor and singer on stage and film, and sang the title role of Amahl and the Night Visitors for the Nashville Symphony and Chicago Symphony Choir recording on Naxos Records.
Ike is thrilled to have been offered the opportunity of trainee at Carolina Ballet during their 2013 season.
