McKenzie Van Oss

McKenzie Van Oss began her ballet training at Green Bay School of Dance in Green Bay, Wisconsin at age 3 under the direction of Timothy Josephs. Parallel to her ballet training, Ms. Van Oss studied classical piano with Stella Tobvina and won various competitions throughout Wisconsin including the WMTA State Badger Competition. She continued her ballet training with Walnut Hill School for the Arts under Michael Owen and Denise Lewis where she performed the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Dew Drop, as well as the lead role in Samuel Kirkjian's Chopin Variations. Ms. Van Oss has also studied at the following summer programs, many of which on scholarship: Milwaukee Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Walnut Hill School for the Arts, Carolina Ballet, and Ballet Austin. Upon graduating Walnut Hill, Ms. Van Oss joined Carolina Ballet as a junior trainee and performed with the company in The Four Temperaments, The Nutcracker, and others. She is thrilled to officially be a part of the Carolina Ballet this season.
