John Deming began his ballet training at the Draper center for Dance Education in Rochester, NY under the direction of Jamey Leverett, where he studied with his mother Julianne Deming, Fidel Orillo Puga, and Beth Bartholomew. While at Draper, he appeared in performances with Rochester City Ballet, including Nutcracker prince, a waltz couple in George Balanchine's Serenade, and the world premiere of Jamey Leverett's The Blood Countess. In 2011-12 he was awarded the Rugheimer scholarship as a Boston Ballet School trainee. He appeared in performances with Boston Ballet, such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Mikko Nissinin's Nutcracker, and Defile. He performed The Nutcracker pas de deux, and Solar's variation from La Bayadere with BBS, as well as Jerome Robbins' Fanfare at the Boston Opera House in the spring of 2013. John attended Carolina Ballet's summer intensive 2013, and is looking forward to the upcoming season in Raleigh.
