Laura began her ballet training at age 12 in her hometown in Northern Virginia, after a number of years as a competitive gymnast. She went on to train at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, under Marcia Dale Weary, and continued at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, under the direction of Michael Vernon and Violette Verdy.

She has attended various summer intensives including Carolina Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Orlando Ballet, many of which were on scholarship.

Laura is a recent graduate of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with a Bachelors of Science in Ballet and an Outside Field in Business.  She was a recipient of the Jacobs School of Music Dean's Scholarship and the Music Faculty Award. While at IU she had the opportunity to dance the fourth soloist in Balanchine’s Divertimento No. 15, the Snow Queen in Michael Vernon’s The Nutcracker, among other roles in Sleeping Beauty, and Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments and Western Symphony.
She is delighted to be joining Carolina Ballet this season!
