ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Learn from the Best

Cinderella

Carolina Ballet is the region’s only professional ballet company and launched The School of Carolina Ballet in September 2018.

Whether pursuing a professional track, or simply interested in studying dance, students will develop the technique and knowledge necessary to achieve their personal goals learning from our artistic staff.

The faculty includes Ballet Masters and Dancers of Carolina Ballet, along with some of the area’s most proficient teachers of contemporary and hip hop. In addition, on several occasions during the year, Artistic Director Zalman Raffael will be a guest teacher for the more advanced students.

Classes range from introductory with no previous ballet necessary for ages 6-7 up through the most advanced classes for 14-18 year olds to Pre-Professional. Dancers in the most advanced levels will have the opportunity to rehearse with Carolina Ballet Dancers in certain productions and those deemed ready will also have performance opportunities. Also, advanced students will be the first in consideration as Apprentices for the professional company leading to company positions.

Scholarships will be available on a merit basis.
